Beautiful yellow sunflower, grows ten feet tall or higher! Dad grew these by the corn field in 2023, along an evergreen tree line. They did not have a lot of sun as the corn got taller next to them, but they grew tall and strong nonetheless. They were protected from the winds by the treeline. And benefited from the small corn early on, to get as much sun as possible from the East before the corn got too tall. I have read that the sunflower turns at nighttime to face the East, in anticipation of a rising sun. But I have not confirmed this.
